Color palette problems using v9t9

I just upgraded to an AMD K6-2 450 with a 3dfx voodoo3 graphics card under Windows 95 (OSR2). Now, when I start v9t9, the initial screen colors are off. The image is there but mostly in dark reds, browns and blacks.
