: I finally had a chance to sit down and try it this weekend myself- same problem. I just emailed the author about it. I'd directed him to the board a couple of days ago, but I'm not sure if he's been checking. Seems like a nice guy and I'd mentioned that I was going to post his email and he didn't object. I don't see why you shouldn't contact him- I suppose the more feedback (and interest)he gets, the better.

: : : : Unfortunately, it gives me an access violation right off the bat... anyone have better luck? :)
: : : Same thing here -- access violation followed by "class not registered." It had to be too good to be true!

: : I suspect it's missing a file... does the author read this board, or should we email bug him? :)

Guys,

There where no problems when i tested it, but now i found out that my debug routine, i used for viewing the wav at a problem point, causes these problems. I'm using leadtools to view te wave and i am writing the program in delphi3. There is a bug with leadtools that causes these problems when you use another version other than delphi2.

I'm currently rewriting my sync routine, to alow more cassettes of BAD qualitiy to be succesfuly read. But it takes time.. therefore i took my beta version en removed the leadtools code.
Rich has recieved the new beta at this moment.
So use this version instead of the buggy one.
This is a beta version, so don't be suprized if there are more files converted then there where on the tape. (this is because if there was a lot of noise between programs, the detection thinks it is a program and begins to converting.)
If the ful version releases (a couple of days) than it will be solved.

Hope this program brings your old source alive!

Dick
