So, after three days of work, Ami99 now runs again, as a Windows DirectX program, and the source code has been heavily cleaned up and is a little bit more suitable for release. (Not a LOT, just a little).

I'm still working on it. It was a HUGE step backwards to remove all the Allegro routines. Right at this exact moment, only graphics mode with no sprites works, but all the graphics should be fixed before the evening is out. Then to reimplement sound, and then speech should work correctly (as streaming audio actually works under Windows).

It now runs in a Window instead of full-screen. I'll add full-screen eventually, cause it may be faster.. the advantage of running in a Window, though, is (a) I know it will draw on your screen, Stiletto ;), and (b) you can resize it at will. It will be easier to add menus, too. The down side? A little slower, and the screen can be distorted (I see that as a plus, sorta ;) ).
