: I have the same or similiar problem. The sound is great on my Pentium 150 machine. Now..I run the same exact program on my new cyrix 333 machine and the sound is much lower level. I can still hear it but not as good and I have my volume level and program cnf set to the highest level. Guess it must be/have something to do with the sound card. How to fix it?????????

Have you tried an older driver for your Soundblaster? In Windows I'm using the "Creative Soundblaster 16 or AWE-32" dated 12-10-97 but (for some reaseon) before I recently upgraded my PC I had to use an old CT-VOICE.DRV (DOS mode) driver dated 1993. Might this help? If you need a copy, I can email one to you.
