OOOOH! You're talking about the TIFILES header. That isn't a TI innovation, actually, it's a part of the TIXmodem implementation, so it doesn't apply to TI disk files. That isn't the problem. :)

:then you see the correct filename. I have a
:program that will convert v9t9 disks to pc99
:disks. Could this program be looked at and the

Not unless it includes source code.. my reverse engineering skills aren't all that hot.

I was sure that Mike Wright kept saying the format for PC99 disk files was on the CADD web site, but I can't find it or any reference to it in the TI List archives at Mr Moon's site, so I guess I was dreaming. :/

The V9T9 disk format I need to get some more time - if I save a file in both formats and compare them I can figure out what I'm doing wrong. It may help a little, though it's not the point of the program. :)

Yeah, my program already takes this into account (or, at least, tries to. It's mostly successful, I'm *sure* I'm just reading a couple of extra bytes somewhere..)

:easier since I believe the v9t9 files would
:never be fractured, always intact. Whereas the

Note that I'm not talking about converting back and forth... I'm talking only about reading files from a disk image to a v9t9 compatible file.. so the v9t9 disk images suffer from fragmentation as much as the pc99 disk images do. But, again, since I'm trying to read the sector indexes, fragmentation isn't a problem. I only have limited documentation on how the real disks are built, though, the rest is from memory.

:is 260,240 bytes. I think I got the 6 bytes from

:dumps.

Yeah, that header I know about, and it stays as it's part of the file itself. :)
