As kids, my friend and I learned we could "peek" and "poke" and make the computer do funny things. It was never the same after that, sometimes giving odd results or freezing at random, ever-more-frequently. We moved on to IBMs in '84, but how can we undo the damage we did with those pokes? Is there a way to reset the machine? Those were some heady days....
