Compact Program Recorder
#1
Anyone (Ksraul?) know anything about this compact program recorder?

I have both white and black program recorders, but I'd never seen one of these smaller ones until I came across this one.

Here's a pic next to a standard recorder for comparison.

It has the same model number as the other program recorders.   I just double checked my own pic, and it does have a different model number:  CPR-001.
I don't know if it had something to do with the CC40, or was it just a new, portable model?

I'll add it to the link database soon.

I saw one of these up for sale on eBay about a year ago. It was the first time any of us had seen one like this. I suspect they may have been for the CC-40 as a sub for the failed Wafertape drives. It is good to know that there are more of them out there. . .and having just taken a look at the manual, it is for a CC40 PLUS.  I have one of those--but not this type of cassette drive for it (I do have a Wafertape, a Hex-Bus Floppy, and a Mechatronic Quick Disk for it though).
Enter my mind at your own risk!
