: I am a former TI owner trying to emulate a TI99/4A on my PC, an IBM Aptiva 730 with a 60mhz pentium and 40MB RAM. I downloaded the DOS MESS emulator and the TI system ROMS, which the web-site author insists are clean ROM files. I put the files in a MESS subdirectory, and tried running the program with the ROM files zipped, unzipped, in the main directory, and in different subdirectories, but i haven't been able to get it to work. I'm typing the command for mess correctly, because it prompts me to choose a sound card. I press 0 for none, and the program starts to load, but then comes up with an error message saying "Required files could not be found, game cannot be started". It lists the 4 ROM files it needs to emulate: 994agrom.bin, 994arom.bin, disk.bin, and Spchrom.bin. All of those files are in tact in the ROMS subdirectory, but the program still can't find them. If anyone can help me in any way to get this working, I would really appreciate it.
