The TI-99/4A Home Computer Page (HCP) http://www.99er.net/ Newsletter #61 June 20, 2005 NEW VERSION OF THE TI-99/4A SIMULATOR- Win994a V3.003 Cory Burr has released the latest version of his TI-99/4A simulator for Windows. The version 3.003 suite contains three programs: Win994a Simulator, Win994a Disk Manager, and the Asm994a Assembler. The Win994a simulator now also includes full-functioning speech. Cory has emulated the actual TMS5220 chip, so all of the speech sounds just like it did on the TI-99/4A. This includes the voices on game carts (including the female voice in Parsec), and CALL SAY, CALL SPGET, the Speech Editor and text to speech in TEII. http://www.99er.net/win994a.shtml TI99MESS Howard Uman has written a TI-99 front end for the MESS emulator. This is a beta program, and Howard is looking for feedback about the program. You can download it and find his email address in the description in the 'emulator support' section of the download database. TI99 BUMPER STICKERS Order your TI99 bumper sticker at http://www.99er.net/stickers.html . The stickers are the European oval kind, measure 4"x6", and are made out of durable polypropylene. NEW WIN994A DISK & CART IMAGES Wicket has sent in several images for use with Win994a. One is an image of the Line By Line Assembler cassette tape that came with the Mini Memory cartridge. The other two are disk images containing the programs from two different issues of 99er magazine. The images can be downloaded from the Win994a Download section. LATEST MANUAL SCANS Scans of the Line-By-Line Assembler manual as well as several TI game manuals have been added. Check the ‘manuals’ section of the download database. TI GAME BASE The TI GameBase is a project to build a database that catalogs all of the games that were ever produced for the TI-99/4A. The main project website at http://tigamebase.lizziebit.com/index.php consists of a web forum where you can discuss TI games and the database. The database itself is located at http://tigamebase.lizziebit.com/gbti/, and it appears that there is an offline version in the works that will work with an emulator to load games.
